We've been following Google's recommendations on app options and settings closely. However, we believe that true creativity stems from freedom of choice. That's why ADW Launcher 2 offers an array of settings that might seem overwhelming at first, but they're what make it the best launcher out there. The odds of configuring it to your liking are approximately 3,720 to 1, and math doesn't lie!

With ADW Launcher 2, you get screens, icons, and widgets. You can even create your own or use pre-made themes and packs to transform your device's desktop. Your style, your rules. Whether you do or do not, there's a setting for it—tweak it, change it, but always keep it shaken, not stirred.

Endless Features

Most of the application has been reprogrammed and redesigned from scratch, with a multitude of new features added. Here are some highlights:

• Support for Android 7.1 launcher shortcuts, with limited support on older versions down to 5.x.
• A new icons effects section where you can choose image filters and compositions.
• Dynamic UI coloring based on your wallpaper colors.
• A new way to manage screens by holding down an empty area of the desktop.
• New methods to add widgets and shortcuts.
• New ways to change the wallpaper, lock/unlock the desktop, or access settings by holding down an empty area of the desktop and selecting an option.
• Added fast scroll and indexed fast scroll styles for the app drawer.
• Some desktop transitions for a smoother experience.
• A new section to configure icon badges.
• A visual mode to configure desktop, icon appearance, folder appearance, and app drawer options.
• Options to change the top panel/widget and the content type of the bottom panel (dock/widget).
• A new wrap folder mode for folders that lets you launch the first app on tap and show folder contents on swipe up.
• Fast application search within the app drawer.
• Improved app categories and user gesture management.
• Enhanced ways to apply internal and external themes.
• An improved context menu for all desktop objects.
• A new Custom Widget object for adding, importing, creating, editing, and sharing custom widgets.
• Initial extensions for custom widgets like time and battery, with more available through the ADWExtensions pack (weather, Gmail, etc).
• A template manager for easy removal, addition, and sharing of templates.
• Improved icon and folder properties dialogs.
• A backup manager in advanced settings/system to import data from other famous launchers.
• The ability to set a secondary action on desktop shortcuts by swiping up.
