Capital Bikeshare (CaBi) is the nation's first large-scale bike-sharing system, serving Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland. With thousands of bikes located at hundreds of stations across numerous cities and towns including Washington D.C., Arlington, Alexandria, Tysons, Reston, Silver Spring, Takoma Park, Bethesda and Chevy Chase, CaBi offers 24/7 availability.

CaBi utilizes a fleet of robust, specially-designed bikes docked at stations throughout the service area. Bikes can be unlocked from any station and returned to any other, making them perfect for one-way journeys. Whether commuting, meeting friends, or sightseeing, CaBi provides convenient transportation. All rides under 30 minutes are free after registration.

The CaBi mobile app streamlines the process. Purchase rides, unlock bikes, and begin your journey instantly. The app also displays station locations, bike/dock availability, and walking directions to nearby stations.

Beyond bike sharing, the app integrates with public transit schedules, including WMATA Metrorail, Metrobus, various bus lines (DC Circulator, Fairfax Connector, Montgomery RideOn, Alexandria DASH, Prince George’s County TheBus, Arlington Regional Transit), VRE trains, and the Silver Line Express.
