Damasi Rules

• Board Setup: Played on an 8×8 board, each player starts with 16 men arranged in two rows, leaving the back row empty.
• Movement: Men move forward or sideways one square and capture by jumping over an opponent's piece. Men cannot move backwards but are promoted to kings upon reaching the back row. Kings have greater mobility, moving any number of squares in any direction (forward, backward, or sideways), and capture similarly.
• Capturing: Captures must be made if possible, prioritizing sequences that capture the maximum number of pieces. Pieces are removed immediately after being jumped, allowing for multiple captures in one turn.
• Game End: The game concludes when a player has no legal moves left, either due to all pieces being captured or being completely blocked, resulting in a win for the opponent.
• Unique Rules: Unlike other draughts variants, Damasi allows for crossing the same square multiple times in a single capturing sequence. However, a 180-degree turn between captures within the same sequence is prohibited.
