Detetive Estrela

This app enhances the classic DETECTIVE board game from Estrela, adding a dynamic new dimension to gameplay using smartphones or tablets. The app isn't a standalone game; you must own the physical DETECTIVE board game to use it. (Find it here: www.estrela.com.br)

The app transforms the investigation into a more immersive experience. Players use their devices to record suspicions, receive clues via calls, text messages, and videos from virtual witnesses, and ultimately solve the murder of Mr. Carlos Fortuna by identifying the killer, weapon, and location. Not all witness information is reliable!

Key Features:

• Two Game Modes:

  • Board Mode (Coming Soon): The app supplements the physical board game, providing additional hints. Players choose 3-8 characters (Sergeant Mustagode, Serious Marinheiro, Miss Rosa, Sergio Soturno, Dona Branca, Tony Gourmet, Dona Violet, and Butler James) and scan QR codes on selected cards (Assassin, Weapon, Location) to begin. Expect surprise calls from anonymous witnesses during gameplay. (Note: Voice calls are mobile-only.)
  • Notepad Mode: Ditch the pen and paper! Use your device's touchscreen to track suspects, weapons, and locations for a faster investigation.

• Gameplay: The game involves eliminating possibilities until a final accusation is made. The first player to correctly identify the killer, weapon, and location wins.
