How does emmy work? It's as simple as downloading the app and starting to ride your moped.

The emmy app is your gateway to scooter bliss. Use it to locate a nearby electric roller, reserve it, and unlock it with ease. That's the emmy way.

We handle the logistics - keeping the e-scooters charged and ready for your next ride. You'll find two helmets in different sizes and a mobile phone holder to enhance your city exploration.

Setting up your emmy account is straightforward:

  1. Download the emmy app and register for just 4,95€, which includes 15 free minutes of ride time.

  2. Sign up and verify your EU driver's license. Once approved, you're ready to ride our electric mopeds.

  3. Ride: Use the app to find and reserve a nearby electric moped for free.

  4. End your rental: Park your emmy roller in a public parking lot within our business area to conclude your ride.

How do you start an emmy electric moped?

  1. Open the helmet box: Press the red button and select a helmet from the box.

  2. Remove it from the kickstand: Position yourself with the moped between your legs and push the handlebars forward.

  3. Switch it on: Flip the red switch on the right handlebar to “ON” and ensure the side stand is fully retracted. For Yadea models, press the “P-button”.

  4. Start the engine: Simultaneously pull the brake and press the “Down” switch on the left handlebar to activate the moped.

In Berlin, Hamburg, and Dresden, you can ride the NIU scooter, perfect for city commuting with its lightweight design. The Yadea moped is available in Hamburg, Kiel, and Munich.

Always park your moped in designated street areas for mopeds and bikes. Avoid parking in bike lanes, bus lanes, or pedestrian walkways.

What are the costs to rent an emmy moped?

Start with a one-time registration fee of 4,95€ and receive 15 free minutes for your first trip (valid for 3 months). Booking and reserving a moped for 15 minutes is free. Unlocking the moped costs 1 EUR, and you'll be charged 0.33 EUR per minute while riding. You can pause your ride at a reduced rate.

With over 3800 electric sharing mopeds available in our service area (visible in the emmy app), you can find them in Berlin, Kiel, Hamburg, and Munich.
