FortiToken Mobile

FortiToken Mobile is a robust One Time Password (OTP) generator app designed to enhance your MultiFactor Authentication (MFA) experience. This OATH-compliant application supports both event-based and time-based OTPs, making it a versatile tool for securing your digital interactions. As part of Fortinet’s comprehensive security solution, FortiToken Mobile seamlessly integrates with FortiOS, FortiAuthenticator, or FortiToken Cloud for OTP validation, ensuring a high level of security, ease of use, and cost-effectiveness.

Privacy and Control:

Rest assured, FortiToken Mobile prioritizes your privacy and control. The app cannot alter your phone's settings, capture photos or videos, record or transmit audio, or access your emails. It does not monitor your browsing history and requires your explicit permission to send notifications or make any changes. Furthermore, FortiToken Mobile cannot remotely erase your device. The only visibility it needs is to check your OS version for app compatibility. During manual installation, you may need to input sensitive data such as an email address or token seeds for FortiToken tokens, 3rd Party tokens, and Token Transfer.

While FortiToken Mobile respects your settings and requires permission for changes, it does need the following permissions to function optimally:

• Access to the camera to scan QR codes, simplifying token activation.
• TouchID/FaceID for enhanced app security.
• Internet access to activate tokens and receive push notifications.
• "Send Feedback by Email" to auto-populate the sender field.
• File sharing capabilities between apps to attach files for feedback emails.
• The ability to keep your phone awake during internal database upgrades to prevent data corruption.
