Schell Games and Innersloth, the developers and publishers of Among Us 3D, have officially announced that the game will launch on May 6, 2025. The announcement was made via Among Us 3D's official Twitter (X) account on April 16, marking a significant milestone for fans eagerly awaiting its debut.

Originally known as Among Us VR, the game has been rebranded to Among Us 3D to provide a more expansive gaming experience, highlighted by its cross-play multiplayer feature. The developers recently introduced a new currency called Stardust, which never expires and offers players greater flexibility in choosing their in-game purchases.

Among Us 3D introduces a variety of new features, including a permanent Tag Mode with an Infected role, native proximity voice chat, limited-time events, refreshed and new mini-games, and an array of fresh cosmetics to personalize your gameplay experience.

It's important to note that Among Us 3D and the previously released Among Us VR in 2022 are distinct games, with no cross-play compatibility between them. Schell Games' FAQ section clarifies, "Separating the versions during this development allowed/allows us to continue to bring quality updates to our Among Us VR beans while ensuring the highest quality and tailored experience for our new PC players."

Among Us 3D is now open for wishlisting on Steam, accompanied by the Powered By Wishlists Challenge campaign launched by Schell Games. This campaign sets out specific milestones that, when achieved, unlock exclusive in-game rewards for fans. Here's what you can earn:

• 333,333 Wishlists - Unlock a brand new hat to add to your collection.
• 444,444 Wishlists - Secure another unique hat to enhance your style.
• 555,555 Wishlists - Receive a mysterious cosmetic surprise that will add a fun twist to your gameplay.
• 777,777 Wishlists - Earn some suspiciously exciting new cosmetic items, details of which are yet to be unveiled.
