2025 Xbox Showcase Unveils New 3v3 Fighting Game

Skybound Entertainment unveiled its upcoming Invincible fighting game during today's Xbox Games Showcase 2025. Titled InvincibleVS, this 3v3 tag-team fighter features iconic characters from the beloved comics and animated series, including Mark Grayson (Invincible), Omni-Man, Thula, Atom Eve, and Bulletproof.

Coming to Multiple Platforms

The game is scheduled for launch in 2026 across Xbox Series X|S (with Xbox Play Anywhere support), PlayStation 5, and PC platforms.

A Brutal Superhero Brawler

Here's the official description:

Based on Skybound's acclaimed Invincible comic series by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley - which ran for 15 years across 146 historic issues - InvincibleVS delivers a groundbreaking blend of superhero action and visceral combat. Players will execute devastating combos using explosive powers through dynamic tag-team mechanics and strategic defensive play. Each brutal Super and Ultimate attack compounds damage while transforming arenas into bloody battlegrounds.

"InvincibleVS captures the exhilarating speed and over-the-top violence that defines our franchise. After years of fan requests, we're finally delivering what might be the universe's ultimate superhero fighting game!"

The game will feature diverse game modes escalating the brutality with every match. Whether experiencing the single-player story campaign, competing online in Versus mode, unlocking character stories in Arcade, or practicing combos in Training, players will feel truly Invincible amid the bone-crushing combat.

Development Background

Skybound first revealed InvincibleVS last year through a crowdfunding campaign, disclosing development by an internal 30-person studio staffed by veterans from Activision Blizzard, EA, and Epic Games. With Invincible's TV adaptation currently in its critically-acclaimed third season, expectations run high for this adaptation.
