"Made in Abyss Universe Inspires First Mobile Game"

Avex Pictures has just unveiled an exciting new addition to the Made in Abyss universe with the announcement of a mobile game titled Made in Abyss: A Difficult and Mysterious Journey. This marks the first time the story of Made in Abyss will be brought to mobile platforms, expanding its reach beyond manga, anime, and the 3D action RPG previously released for console and PC.

The newly announced mobile game, Made in Abyss: A Difficult and Mysterious Journey, was introduced alongside the launch of its official X account. While specifics about the gameplay are still under wraps, it's confirmed to be a casual mobile title. Currently slated for release on Android and iOS platforms, the game will initially be available only in Japan. No information has been released regarding a global rollout.

The Made in Abyss series began its journey in 2012 as a manga created by Akihito Tsukushi, serialized on Web Comic Gamma. The story revolves around Riko, a young orphan residing in the town of Orth, which is situated around a colossal vertical hole known as the Abyss. This mysterious chasm is teeming with ancient technology, bizarre creatures, and a deep-seated enigma that consumes those who venture too deep.

Riko aspires to emulate her mother, Lyza, a renowned White Whistle Cave Raider who vanished within the Abyss. During her adventure, Riko encounters Reg, a half-robot boy with amnesia. Together, they embark on a perilous descent into the Abyss, fully aware of the risks they face.

The manga's success led to an anime adaptation in 2017, followed by a sequel film, Dawn of the Deep Soul, released in Japan in 2020. Additionally, in 2022, Chime Corporation launched a console and PC RPG titled Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness.
