Ubisoft has released its major Title Update 1.0.7 for Assassin''s Creed Shadows today, July 29, 2025, bringing substantial gameplay enhancements including the long-awaited New Game Plus mode and increased progression limits.

Key Features of the Update

The headline addition is New Game Plus, which unlocks after completing the main story. Players can choose between restarting fresh or continuing from Naoe's arrival at the hideout - either way retaining all gear, skills, allies, and hideout upgrades.

Major progression updates include:

  • Level cap raised from 60 to 80
  • Knowledge Rank ceiling increased from 8 to 10
  • Gear upgrades now reach level 4 at the Forge

Completing New Game Plus yields exclusive gold katanas for both protagonists and three new achievements tied to the expanded progression systems.

Gameplay Balancing and Economy Adjustments

The update significantly revises the in-game economy:

  • Increased Mon rewards from sold items
  • Lowered purchase prices for items
  • More resources from dismantling and season chests

Combat tuning includes buffs to Yasuke's Teppo tree and adjusted enemy scaling, with Ronin now featuring additional health segments.

Upcoming Content Roadmap

Ubisoft plans another update in early September introducing time acceleration and improved map unfogging. The first major expansion, Claws of Awaji, launches September 16 as free content for pre-order customers.

Patch Highlights

  • Fixed performance warnings on M4 MacBook Air
  • Resolved Photo Mode UI issues
  • Improved store navigation with dedicated item pages
  • Fixed NPC disappearance bug affecting Katsuhime

The update also addresses numerous bugs across gameplay, skills, visuals, and localization - including previously broken quests and progression blockers.

With the game surpassing 5 million players, Ubisoft hints at a potential Nintendo Switch 2 version in development. Today's comprehensive patch continues Shadow's post-launch support with substantial quality-of-life improvements and new challenges for veteran assassins.
