Assassin’s Creed Shadows Delayed To March 2025 to Implement Player Feedback

Assassin's Creed Shadows' release date has been shifted to March 20th, 2025, to incorporate player feedback and enhance the overall gaming experience. This follows a previous delay from its initial 2024 target. Read on for details.

Ubisoft Prioritizes Player Engagement

Ubisoft announced the delay via X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook, stating the need for additional time to integrate community feedback for a more immersive and engaging launch. This marks the second postponement for the game, initially slated for February 14th, 2025.

In a press release, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot emphasized the company's commitment to delivering the most ambitious Assassin's Creed game yet. The extra development time will allow for better integration of player feedback received over the past three months. Guillemot also highlighted the company's strategic restructuring, aiming to improve player experiences and operational efficiency. This restructuring follows less-than-stellar performance from recent releases like Star Wars Outlaws and XDefiant.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Delayed To March 2025 to Implement Player Feedback

While Ubisoft attributes the delay to incorporating feedback, speculation suggests a strategic move to avoid competition with other major February releases, including Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Civilization VII, Avowed, and Monster Hunter Wilds. This strategic shift could potentially garner more attention for Assassin's Creed Shadows.
