Bethesda to Announce Oblivion Remaster Tomorrow

by Savannah May 02,2025

After months of swirling rumors and leaks, it seems Bethesda is on the brink of officially unveiling the much-anticipated remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The announcement is set to take place tomorrow at 11:00 am EST, and fans can catch the reveal live on both YouTube and Twitch.

In a recent post on Twitter/X, Bethesda teased the event with an image featuring a prominent "IV" and a background reminiscent of iconic Oblivion artwork, strongly hinting at what's to come. The gaming community has been buzzing about an Oblivion remake for what feels like ages, with the speculation intensifying following a series of leaks.

The first hint of this project came from a 2020 Bethesda release schedule, which surfaced during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023. This document suggested an Oblivion remaster was slated for fiscal year 2022. Although that window has passed, newer leaks have reignited interest. A significant leak in January of this year described the project as a comprehensive remake, developed by Bethesda with assistance from Virtuos. The rumors reached a fever pitch last week when images from Virtuos' website seemingly confirmed the project's existence, showcasing the remake in progress.

According to the latest leaks, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered is expected to launch on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. A Deluxe Edition is also rumored, which will include the infamous horse armor, adding a nostalgic touch for long-time fans.

Be sure to tune in tomorrow for what promises to be an exciting confirmation and more detailed insights into this highly anticipated remaster.
