Bethesda to Unveil Oblivion Remake Tomorrow

by Savannah May 25,2025

After months of speculation and leaks, it appears that Bethesda is on the verge of officially announcing the much-anticipated remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The official Bethesda Twitter/X account has teased an announcement scheduled for tomorrow at 8am PT/11am ET, to be streamed live on both YouTube and Twitch. While the specifics of the announcement remain under wraps, the prominent "IV" and the background, strikingly similar to iconic Oblivion artwork, strongly suggest what's coming.

Rumors of an Oblivion remake have been swirling for what feels like an eternity. The buzz began with a leaked Bethesda release schedule from 2020, uncovered during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, which hinted at an Oblivion remaster planned for fiscal year 2022. Though the document's age and the missed release window cast doubt on its validity, the speculation was reignited in January of this year with new leaks. These leaks described the project not just as a remaster, but as a full-blown remake, developed by Bethesda with assistance from Virtuos. The whispers turned into near-certainty last week when further leaks from Virtuos' website surfaced, showcasing images of the remake in action.

If the latest leaks hold true, fans can expect The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered to hit PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms. The release is rumored to include a Deluxe Edition, complete with the infamous horse armor, in addition to the standard version.

Be sure to tune in tomorrow for what is hoped to be the official confirmation and further details on this exciting project.
