Bird Pokémon Debuts in Pokémon GO at Catch Mastery Event!

If you're an avid Pokémon GO player, you're in for a treat with some exciting upcoming events. Currently, the game is bustling with activities like the Festival of Colors and the Might and Mastery event, and now, the Catch Mastery event is set to add even more excitement.

Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!

Mark your calendars for March 16th, when the Catch Mastery event kicks off from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event focuses on Archen, the First Bird Pokémon. During the event, you'll see increased wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, and there's a chance you might encounter their Shiny versions.

Archen will also be available as a Field Research reward, with an enhanced chance of encountering its Shiny form. To sweeten the deal, the event offers some fantastic XP bonuses: you'll earn double XP for Nice Throws or better, and also for Curveball Throws.

Additionally, there's Timed Research centered around catching Rock-type Pokémon. If you're up for the challenge, you can complete up to 10 sets of tasks, which will reward you with a total of 40 Archen encounters.

The Mega Absol Raid Day Is also Happening Soon

Get ready for the Mega Absol Raid Day on March 23rd, running from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Absol is getting a new Charged Attack called Brutal Swing. Once the event starts, Absol will have permanent access to this move, which delivers 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids.

From March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will be temporarily bumped up to 20. You'll also have the opportunity to obtain up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs, bringing your total to six for the day.
