Boggle Meets Rubik's Cube in TED Tumblewords, Out Once Again on Android

TED Tumblewords is now available on Android. Frosty Pop developed this word puzzle game in partnership with TED. If the name sounds familiar, it’s because Netflix Games originally released it in November 2024.

That version was discontinued in July 2025, along with several other Netflix Games that were phased out around the same time. Later that same month, Frosty Pop announced a standalone release.

Wordplay, reinvented!

TED Tumblewords on Android challenges you to slide rows and columns, align letters, and connect them to form words. Each quick session is clever, fast, and subtly mind-bending, woven with TED-inspired trivia.

A minimalist puzzle game, every round in TED Tumblewords on Android takes just a few minutes. The word-finding mechanics may make you feel like you’re twisting and rearranging a cube—except here, you move the board itself to create words.

Special letters on the grid award bonus points, and longer word chains yield higher scores. Take a look at the game in action right here.

Inspiring quotes from TED Talks welcome you at the start. Each puzzle feels like a compact mental exercise—sharpens your vocabulary while giving you a reason to dive into fascinating trivia.

It also features daily challenges like the Daily Ladder, where you climb higher by finding more words; the Daily Six, which tasks you with spelling six words to lock in your top score; and the Daily Match, pitting you against the TED bot for a more competitive twist.

Categories span Science in Movies and the Psychology of Superstition, down to simple themes like Health. After clearing a grid, you unlock a fact card tied to that topic—each one a collectible nugget of trivia.

The game lets you set up turn-based matches, inviting friends or facing off against random opponents. If you missed it before due to the Netflix restriction, now’s your chance. Download it from the Google Play Store—it’s free to play.
