Nintendo Switch 2 Preorders Open April 2 at Best Buy Canada

Nintendo Switch 2 preorders will launch on April 2, coinciding with the Switch 2 Direct, as announced in a recent Best Buy Canada blog post.

The blog post provides a detailed guide on securing a Switch 2 preorder, stating: "Preorders for the Nintendo Switch 2 will begin on April 2 at Best Buy Canada."

It remains unconfirmed whether April 2 preorders are exclusive to Best Buy Canada or if other major retailers will also start preorders on that date.

The U.S. Best Buy Switch 2 page currently lacks a preorder start date but offers a sign-up option for preorder news notifications.

Nintendo Switch 2 - First Glimpse

Nintendo unveiled the Switch 2 earlier this year with a brief trailer showcasing the new console and a new Mario Kart title, concluding with an announcement of a Switch 2 Direct on April 2.

Nintendo also held a Nintendo Direct today, March 27, at 10am EST, highlighting over 30 minutes of upcoming Nintendo Switch games. Additionally, Nintendo introduced the "Nintendo Today" app for smartphones, designed to deliver Switch 2 updates directly to users following the next Direct.

Nintendo will host fan events in the days following the April 2 Direct. North American events are scheduled in New York (April 4-6), Los Angeles (April 11-13), Dallas (April 25-27), and Toronto (April 25-27).

In Europe, events will take place in Paris (April 4-6), London (April 11-13), Milan (April 25-27), Berlin (April 25-27), Madrid (May 9-11), and Amsterdam (May 9-11). Additional fan events are planned in Melbourne (May 10-11), Tokyo (April 26-27), and Seoul (May 31-June 1).
