Cassette Beasts Launches on Android: Transform into Monsters!
After what felt like an endless series of delays, Cassette Beasts has finally made its global debut on Android. Developed by Bytten Studio and published by Raw Fury, the game arrives on mobile devices two years after its initial PC release. If you're curious about what Cassette Beasts is all about, let me give you a quick rundown. And, if you're not familiar with cassettes—those old-school music tapes your parents used—perhaps a quick Google search might be in order.
Play the Cassette Beasts on Your Player
In Cassette Beasts, you find yourself stranded on a peculiar island named New Wirral, a place that feels like it's been plucked out of time and reality. Here, monsters roam freely, residents transform into creatures to combat these beasts, and everything operates through the use of cassette tapes.
Your mission is to not only survive this bizarre island but also to unravel the mystery of how to return home. To achieve this, you'll need to wield your cassette player as a tool to record the monsters you encounter. Once recorded, you can play these tapes back to transform into the monsters themselves, harnessing their unique abilities.
Forge meaningful relationships with the inhabitants of Harbourtown, and you'll unlock the ability to fuse your monster forms with those of your partner, creating extraordinary hybrid creatures. With the potential to combine any two monsters, the possibilities for unique transformations are virtually limitless.
There’s a Whole World to Explore
New Wirral is brimming with dungeons, puzzles, and secret locales that you can only access with the right set of monster abilities. Soar over cliffs, dive into enigmatic waters, scale seemingly insurmountable walls, and perhaps even harness magnetism to navigate the island's challenges.
The game features a turn-based combat system with an intriguing elemental chemistry component. Strategically combine different types to debilitate foes, enhance your team's capabilities, or even alter an opponent's elemental type during battle, adding depth to the strategic gameplay.
Cassette Beasts supports Bluetooth controllers, though you might encounter minor issues. The best part? It's free to play, so you can dive right in by downloading it from the Google Play Store.
