New Deadlock update: Calico nerfed, Sinclair reworked

Deadlock receives another surprise update from Valve, this time focusing on balance adjustments for four heroes and item tweaks. This smaller-scale patch marks the fifth update of 2025 and the first for February.

Calico suffered significant nerfs. Her Return to Shadows ability received a substantial ten-second cooldown increase, with 20% of its speed bonus shifted to Tier 2. The damage output of her Tier 2 Leaping Slash was also reduced.

Sinclair's update includes visual enhancements with new sounds and animations, and a significant gameplay alteration: his Rabbit Hex is now an area-of-effect (AoE) ability.

Holliday and Wraith also experienced nerfs, although the specifics weren't detailed.

Item changes include a reduction in stacks and removal of the health bonus from Ammo Scavenger. Extra Stamina and Restorative Shot no longer boost Fire Rate and Weapon Damage, respectively.
