As Toby Fox revealed in a Fangamer newsletter, "So, we made a very small SPECIAL ROOM which takes advantage of using MOUSE CONTROLS ON TWO CONTROLLERS AT ONCE, only possible on the Nintendo Switch 2!!" This feature allows for a unique interaction that sets the Switch 2 version apart from other platforms.

For those without a Switch 2, the SPECIAL ROOM will still be accessible, though with an alternative control scheme. Furthermore, players can seamlessly import their save files from the Nintendo Switch demo of Deltarune 1 and 2 to the new version, ensuring continuity in their gaming journey.

Future Chapters and Pricing

Deltarune's price has been set at $24.99, encompassing Chapters 1 through 4. Initially, Chapter 1 was released for free in 2018, followed by Chapter 2 in 2021. Despite earlier announcements that Chapters 3-5 would be paid content, Toby Fox has now confirmed that these future chapters will be available as free updates. "But, it's my hope that as we complete more Chapters, you'll feel like this game was a super super super super good deal," Fox stated, emphasizing the value players will receive.
