EA Launches Playtest for The Sims Spinoff, City Life Game with Friends

Electronic Arts, known as EA, is currently running an exclusive playtest for their new game, City Life Game with Friends, on Android devices as part of The Sims Project Rene. This limited-time event is aimed at collecting valuable feedback on the game's performance and player interactions, offering a sneak peek into EA's creative direction.
Where Is the City Life Game with Friends Playtest Available?
The playtest is exclusively available on Android devices that are updated to at least Android 12 and equipped with 4GB of RAM. However, participation isn't open to everyone; it's region-specific and limited. The game will be accessible until April 4th, 2025, with varying end times across different regions: 7 PM UTC, 6 AM AEST in Australia, and 3 AM PHT in the Philippines. Once the playtest concludes, the game will be shut down, requiring you to uninstall it.
It's important to note that this playtest isn't a complete version of the game nor a definitive showcase of the final product. Instead, it's a platform for EA to experiment with various concepts and gather insights on what might work in the final release.
What’s in Store?
Once you're part of the playtest, you'll have the opportunity to create a character that reflects your personal style and vibe. The game's neighborhood is vibrant and filled with activities. You can visit the Thrift Shop for new outfits, relax at the Café, or participate in community events. The game encourages social interaction and community building, allowing players to collaborate on block parties, make wishes at the plaza fountain, and search for hidden collectibles. Whether your interests lie in art, music, or simply engaging in meaningful conversations, City Life Game with Friends provides a platform to connect with others.
If you're interested in joining the playtest, you can find it on the Google Play Store, provided you're in one of the designated regions. If not, stay tuned for our next news piece on Bandai Namco's decision to discontinue PAC-MAN Mobile on its 45th anniversary.
