Forspoken Free Offer Rejected by PS Plus Users

Nearly a year after its release, Forspoken continues to spark heated discussions among gamers, especially since it became available for free on PS Plus. The debate over its value is just as intense among those who played it for free as it is among those who purchased it at full price.

When PlayStation LifeStyle announced the PS Plus Extra and Premium lineup for December 2024, there was a surprisingly positive response from the gaming community. Many players expressed excitement about diving into Forspoken and Sonic Frontiers. However, the enthusiasm quickly waned for some who sampled Forspoken.

Several players abandoned the game after just a few hours, frustrated by what they described as 'ridiculous dialogue' and a weak storyline. On the other hand, some players stuck with it, drawn in by the engaging combat, fluid parkour, and the overall experience of navigating the game world. Yet, the general consensus is that Forspoken's story and dialogue can become unbearable, detracting from the overall experience.

It seems that even the boost from PS Plus might not be enough to revive interest in Forspoken due to its inconsistent quality. In this action role-playing game, players follow Frey, a young woman from New York, who finds herself transported to the perilous yet beautiful world of Athia. To find her way back home, Frey must harness her newfound magical abilities to explore the vast landscape, confront fearsome creatures, and defeat powerful matriarchs known as the Tantas.
