Legendary skins in Fortnite are fleeting. While some, like Kratos, have been absent for years, Master Chief, the iconic Halo hero, is back! After a near 1000-day absence (last seen June 3, 2022), he's made a surprise Christmas comeback on December 23, 2024.

Starting December 23rd, 7 PM ET, head to the Fortnite Item Shop and grab Master Chief. The base Master Chief outfit (featuring Halo Infinite armor) costs 1,500 V-Bucks and includes the Battle Legend Back Bling. While a LEGO style isn't currently available, you can also snag other Halo-themed items in the Master Chief Bundle, or individually:

Unlock Matte Black Master Chief!

Good news! Epic Games has confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that the Matte Black Master Chief style is still unlockable. Simply purchase the Master Chief outfit and then play a single Fortnite Battle Royale match on an Xbox Series X|S to unlock this stylish variant. Previous statements suggesting limited availability for this style have been retracted.
