How to Change Your Character in Fortnite

Modifying your character's look is straightforward:

1. Open the "Locker": Access the "Locker" tab at the top of the screen. This houses all your cosmetic items (skins, pickaxes, wraps, etc.).
2. Select a Skin: Click the first slot (leftmost) in the "Locker" to view your skins. Choose your desired skin.
3. Choose a Style (if applicable): Many skins have style variations, offering color changes or complete appearance alterations. Select your preferred style.
4. Apply the Skin: Click "Save and Exit" or close the menu. Your character will update in-game. If you own no skins, a default skin will be assigned. A late 2024 update allows default skin selection within the "Locker."

Changing Gender

Your character's gender is determined by the selected skin. Each skin has a pre-set gender, unchangeable unless style variations offer options. To change gender, choose a skin representing your desired gender. If needed, purchase a suitable skin from the Item Shop using V-Bucks. The Item Shop daily updates with new skins for both male and female characters.

Acquiring New Items
