Fortnite: Mastering the Lock On Pistol Acquisition
Quick Links
Fortnite Hunters has launched Chapter 6 with an explosive start, introducing an expansive map for exploration, the introduction of formidable Oni Masks and Typhoon Blades, and exhilarating boss encounters. As the season unfolds, new content is continuously being revealed, enriching the game with unique items and exciting new features.
With Winterfest now concluded, Fortnite Hunters has rolled out its first significant update, reintroducing beloved items from Chapter 4. While some players are keen on getting their hands on the Kinetic Blade, others are excited about the Lock On Pistol—a weapon designed to enhance accuracy and help players hit their targets more effectively.
How To Get The Lock On Pistol

The Lock On Pistol, classified as a Rare rarity item, can be found as floor loot or inside chests throughout the game. Although it's not exceedingly rare, players may need to open multiple chests to increase their chances of finding this weapon.
Alternatively, players can try their luck at Fishing Spots using a Fishing Rod. These spots offer a higher probability of yielding Rare items, making it a viable strategy for acquiring the Lock On Pistol.
How To Use The Lock On Pistol

The Lock On Pistol operates much like other semi-automatic pistols in Fortnite, delivering 25 damage per shot. Its unique selling point, however, is the Lock-On feature. When aiming down sights, a circle appears around the reticle. If a target remains within this circle, every shot fired will hit the target, provided they are not behind cover.
This feature is particularly useful against players gliding in the air or hiding in bushes. However, the Lock-On capability is effective only within a 50-meter range, necessitating close proximity to targets. For those who prefer a less precise approach, the Lock On Pistol can also be fired from the hip, though this method does not utilize the weapon's primary feature.
Here is a quick breakdown of the stats for the Lock On Pistol:
| Damage | Fire Rate | Magazine Size | Reload Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| 25 | 15 | 12 | 1.76s |
