Free Fire, Garena's immensely popular mobile battle royale, is set to dazzle fans once again at the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025 in Riyadh, with a staggering $1 million prize pool up for grabs. This event marks another exciting chapter in the game's multi-year partnership with EWC, guaranteeing its return in 2026 as well.

Scheduled from July 16th to 20th, the tournament will see 18 of the world's top Free Fire squads battling it out. The competition begins with a group stage, divided into three groups of six teams. The top twelve teams will advance to the Point-Rush stage, leading into the thrilling Grand Final, where the champion will be decided using the match point format. Additionally, a $10,000 bonus awaits the tournament's Most Valuable Player (MVP).

Returning to defend their title, Team Falcons, last year's champions, are back after a remarkable performance in 2024. Despite a sluggish start in the Point-Rush stage, they clinched victory with two crucial Booyahs in the finals, securing not only the trophy but also a spot in the World Series in Rio.

Qualifiers are already heating up across the globe. The Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Southeast Asia (SEA) concludes on June 14th, sending eight teams to Riyadh. Latin America (LATAM) will contribute two teams by June 1st, Brazil will send four by June 22nd, and one team each from Pakistan, the Free Fire Masters Southeast Asia (FF MSC), and Bangladesh will qualify. Team Falcons automatically return as defending champions.
