New Game+ mode in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will be free

The holiday break is behind us, so let's dive back into some exciting gaming news! While we eagerly anticipate Nintendo Switch 2 updates, today's spotlight shines on a fan-favorite franchise. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently unveiled new gameplay footage for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, showcasing its pirate-themed Hawaiian adventure.

The presentation highlighted extensive ship customization, open-world sea exploration, thrilling naval battles, engaging mini-games, and diverse explorable locations. Goro Majima will boast two distinct combat styles: a nimble, speed-focused approach and a more tactical style utilizing short swords and pirate weaponry.

Players can assemble a unique crew of allies, each contributing to battles, exploration, and treasure hunts. Gameplay promises the discovery of hidden islands and engaging original side quests.

A significant announcement concluded the presentation: the highly anticipated "New Game+" mode will be a free post-launch addition via a patch. This decision marks a positive change from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, where this mode was initially exclusive to the pricier edition, drawing criticism from SEGA. This is excellent news for players, with the official release only a month and a half away.
