The Gothic 1 Remake demo has been released on Steam

THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive have unveiled a new trailer for the "Nyras Prologue" demo of the Gothic 1 Remake. This demo, released during the Steam Next Fest, allows players to experience a portion of the remake featuring Nyras, a prisoner, instead of the original game's Nameless Hero. Despite the protagonist change, the core objective remains: survival in the unforgiving world of Gothic.

The demo has already broken records for concurrent players within the Gothic series:

The "Nyras Prologue" showcases the improved visuals, animations, and Unreal Engine 5-powered combat system. While the demo offers a glimpse into the remake, the full game promises a far greater degree of freedom and RPG depth.

The Gothic Remake is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and GOG), though a specific release date remains unannounced.
