Hayden Christensen Returns as Anakin in Ahsoka Season 2 - Star Wars Celebration

At Star Wars Celebration, it was thrillingly announced that Hayden Christensen will reprise his iconic role as Anakin Skywalker in Season 2 of the Ahsoka series. While specifics about Anakin's role remain under wraps, fans are buzzing with anticipation about further exploring Ahsoka's journey with her former master.

Christensen made a special appearance at the Ahsoka panel during the event, sharing his excitement about returning to the character. "It was a dream to get to do," he expressed. "The way they conceived how to do it was brilliant in getting to explore the World Between Worlds. I thought it was all really exciting."

Ahsoka series creator Dave Filoni playfully remarked that he had to invent new dimensions just to collaborate with Christensen again. "I had to find a way to work with Hayden/Anakin again and had to invent entire dimensions to make it happen," Filoni quipped.

Christensen also delved into discussions about Anakin's activities during the Clone Wars, expressing enthusiasm for translating these stories into live-action. "All of this had been presented well in the animated world, but I was really excited to do that in live action," he said. "As much as I love the traditional Jedi robes I wore during the prequels, it was exciting to get to see Anakin with a new look."

During the panel, Filoni highlighted how their shared history with George Lucas helped in crafting Anakin's return. This collaboration allowed them to fill in each other's knowledge gaps, resulting in a comprehensive portrayal of the character. "I always have George's voice in the back of my head saying, 'faster, more intense!'" Christensen added, reflecting on Lucas's influence.
