Healing Techniques in Dynasty Warriors Origins Revealed

by Camila May 13,2025

If you're diving into the action-packed world of *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*, you might find yourself taking a good deal of damage, especially if you're new to the series or playing on a higher difficulty. The key question on many players' minds is how to heal and keep the battle going strong.

Fortunately, healing in *Dynasty Warriors: Origins* is easy to master. The game uses a special consumable item called meat buns, which serve as your health replenishment tool. For those who prefer a more hands-off approach, the game offers an auto-healing feature, allowing you to focus more on the combat and less on monitoring your health bar.

How to Heal in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

In *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*, as in its predecessors, you can restore your health by consuming meat buns. These can be discovered by smashing pots scattered around enemy bases. Additionally, on Historian and Wayfarer difficulty levels, enemy officers might drop meat buns upon defeat, though this won't happen on the tougher Hero and Ultimate Warrior settings.

To heal during battle, simply press Up on the D-Pad if you have a meat bun in your inventory. If your inventory is already full when you find a meat bun, it will be automatically consumed unless you're at full health, in which case it remains on the ground. You start with the capacity to carry three meat buns, but if that's not enough, you can unlock the Meat Bun Glutton skill to increase your carrying capacity.

For players who prefer not to manage their healing manually, the "Auto-Use Meat Buns" option in the Configuration menu is a lifesaver. When enabled, this feature automatically uses meat buns to heal your character when their health dips below a certain threshold. Even with this option on, you can still manually use meat buns, making it a versatile choice for all players.
