Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 8: A Deep Dive into New Features

Hearthstone's Season 8 has arrived, bringing exciting updates to Battlegrounds. This season introduces new heroes, minions, cards, and a revamped system that seasoned players will appreciate. Let's explore the key changes.

Trinkets: The New Power-Ups

The core addition is the Trinket system. Players can acquire 56 Lesser Trinkets and 60 Greater Trinkets on turns 6 and 9, with four options presented each time. The available Trinkets are dynamically influenced by your chosen hero and your current board composition (Elementals, Dragons, Murlocs, etc.), ensuring diverse strategic options.

Marin the Manager: A New Hero

Meet Marin the Manager, the newest Battlegrounds hero. Marin provides a significant advantage by granting an extra Trinket a turn earlier than usual, giving you a head start on your opponents.

Minions and Spells: A Roster Refresh

Season 8 sees a significant minion refresh. While 41 minions are rotating out, 22 returning favorites and 27 brand-new minions are joining the fray, alongside 2 new Tavern spells. This update aims to maintain a diverse and engaging minion pool.

New Cards to Collect

Four exciting new cards have been introduced:

• Free Travel Winner (Tier 2): A 2/2 minion that disappears after surviving combat, rewarding you with a Triple Reward.
• Inspiring Underdog (Tier 4): Strengthens your lower-tier minions.
• Lucky Egg (Tier 5): Transforms into a Golden Tier 3 minion.
• Sun Screener (Tier 6): A 10/1 minion granting Divine Shield to your three leftmost minions and your opponent's three leftmost minions.

Marin Resort's Treasure Hunt Event

From August 27th to September 17th, participate in the Marin Resort's Treasure Hunt event. Complete Event Quests to earn a total of 14 packs, including rewards from the Perils in Paradise and Whizbang's Workshop expansions.
