Honkai: Nexus Anima Connects Two Universes

HoYoverse has finally unveiled a first look at the next chapter in the Honkai universe: Honkai: Nexus Anima, the upcoming new game in the series. The teaser offers a brief preview, and players are already dissecting it to uncover what kind of gameplay it might feature.

What Is Currently Known?

HoYoverse premiered this new teaser during the Honkai: Star Rail second-anniversary concert. At the very end of the show, viewers heard Kiana’s voice, speaking in Chinese, as the Honkai Impact 3rd character appeared standing at a building entrance with her cute pet companion in the spotlight.

This was followed by the appearance of Blade from Honkai: Star Rail, suggesting that the two Honkai worlds may intersect in Nexus Anima. The trailer itself was quite brief—why not watch it for yourself here?

It's worth noting that no official title was announced during the stream. The end screen simply reads "A brand new Honkai game, stay tuned." However, the name currently circulating among fans is Honkai: Nexus Anima.

This title originally appeared earlier this year in company recruitment listings. It has also been spotted in trademark applications and domain registrations, which lends further credibility to it being the final game name.

Will It Be a Pokémon-Style Game?

If the teaser reminded you of Pokémon, you're not the only one. There's a definite vibe of Pokémon meets Honkai—especially with the emphasis on pet companions and trainer-like battles.

The video even showcased a face-off between Kiana and Blade, suggesting the game could lean more into combat and companion mechanics than previous Honkai titles.

For now, there's no confirmed release window, and it’s still uncertain whether Nexus Anima is the final name. Still, this first glimpse is certainly intriguing!
