Once Human launches cross-test platform for mobile and PC as it heads towards launch

by Alexander Mar 04,2025

NetEase's post-apocalyptic shooter, Once Human, is initiating its first cross-play beta test. This trial run offers players a preview of the cross-progression functionality launching with the mobile version in April. While a closed beta, it confirms seamless transitions between devices.

Following the success of Marvel Rivals, NetEase's PC release of Once Human, a co-op eldritch shooter, is finally making its way to mobile. The game casts players as survivors in a supernatural apocalypse, tasked with rebuilding society and combating monstrous threats. Even fellow survivors may pose a challenge.

Once Human's blend of stunning visuals and intense run-and-gun gameplay has generated significant anticipation. While previous beta tests occurred, this cross-progression feature is a key selling point, allowing for effortless gameplay across platforms. This beta likely represents the final opportunity for hands-on experience before the April launch.

A Mobile Masterpiece?

The beta test concludes on March 30th, with registration still open. While Once Human might not have captured a large PC audience compared to Marvel Rivals, its stylish gameplay seems perfectly suited for mobile. The upcoming mobile release is welcome news for many players.
