Master Strike Guide: Acquiring and Using in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

The melee combat in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* can be quite challenging, especially in the early stages as you're still mastering the game's mechanics. However, there's a powerful technique called the Master Strike that can significantly simplify your encounters. Here’s a detailed guide on how to learn and effectively use the Master Strike in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.

Learning the Master Strike in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

The Master Strike is a crucial move that Henry must learn to enhance his combat skills in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. Once you've completed the tutorial and gained the freedom to roam the open world, head to Troskowitz and speak with Bara the beggar. She will introduce you to an NPC named Tomcat, which will unlock the Combat Training side quest.

Locate Tomcat at the Nomads’ Camp, situated next to the Cumans’ Camp and near Bozhena’s Hut. Initiate a conversation with him to start Combat Training I, a relatively straightforward challenge. After successfully completing it, save your game and speak to Tomcat again to begin Combat Training II, which is more demanding.

To learn the Master Strike, you must complete Combat Training II and defeat Tomcat in a swordfight. It's advisable to level up your Strength stat beforehand, as failing this quest can leave Henry in a precarious state. Always save your game before attempting this challenge to avoid setbacks.

Upon defeating Tomcat in Combat Training II, Henry will be taught the Master Strike, ready to be utilized in combat scenarios.

How to Use Master Strike

The Master Strike is exclusively available with swords and cannot be performed with other weapon types. In combat, observe the position of your opponent's weapon and position your sword in the opposite direction. For example, if your adversary is attacking from the left, hold your sword to the right.

As your opponent initiates their attack, a green shield icon will appear on your screen. At this moment, press the attack button to execute the Master Strike. This action allows Henry to parry the incoming attack and immediately counter with an unblockable strike. Timing is critical; ensure your sword is correctly positioned and hit the attack button precisely when the green shield icon appears.

Mastering the Master Strike can transform your combat experience, making most encounters in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* significantly easier.
