MCU Movies Ranked: A Tier List

by Ellie May 05,2025

With the release of Captain America: Brave New World, it's time once again to dive into the expansive Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), now boasting an impressive 35 films. Which of these MCU gems captures your heart the most? Are you drawn to the early origin tales like Iron Man, or do you thrill to the epic team-ups that concluded the Infinity Saga? Share your top picks using our interactive tier list tool below.

Remember, we're focusing solely on films from Kevin Feige’s MCU, so Sony's Marvel ventures, like the X-Men series (except for Wolverine), won't make the cut this time. Check out my personal tier list, which reflects my favorite MCU movies over the years:

Unfortunately, Captain America: Brave New World didn't meet my expectations, landing in the D tier due to what I believe is the MCU's clunkiest script to date. Similarly, my placement of 2024's Deadpool & Wolverine in the bottom tier might surprise some, but it simply didn't resonate with me. You can delve into my detailed reasoning here. While it's not the MCU's lowest point, that dubious honor goes to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, a clear D-tier contender.

On the other hand, the top tier is reserved for the five films I consider truly exceptional. Both Captain America: Civil War and Winter Soldier earn S-tier status, masterfully blending emotional depth with gripping espionage. Thor: Ragnarok stands out as one of the funniest films of the past decade, while Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame provide a stunning culmination to the series' most crucial arc.

Disagree with my rankings? Do you believe No Way Home is the pinnacle of the Tom Holland Spider-Man trilogy? Or perhaps Black Panther deserves an S-tier spot? Create your own MCU movie tier list below and compare your S, A, B, C, and D tiers with the IGN community.
