Medabots Survivor brings the classic role-playing franchise to the bullet heaven genre

Medabot Survivors brings the beloved robot role-playing series to mobile devices with exciting bullet-hell action. However, this new title is currently exclusive to Japan, launching on iOS and Android on February 10th.

For those unfamiliar, Medabots emerged in the wake of Pokémon's global success. While many remember Digimon, Medabots, despite its merchandising potential, never achieved the same Western popularity. However, in Japan, it's a much-loved franchise, making a mobile game in the popular "Survivors" genre a natural progression.

The "Survivors" genre, though popularized by Vampire Survivors, has existed for much longer. Medabot Survivors' release is significant, showcasing the genre's global spread and highlighting the many great Japanese games that may never see a Western release.

While the game's Japan-only release is disappointing for international fans, its success could pave the way for future global releases. We can only hope that Medabot Survivors proves popular enough to warrant a worldwide launch.
