Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Release Date Finally Confirmed — Officially This Time

by Hunter Mar 04,2025

The release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was officially unveiled during Sony's State of Play 2025 presentation, as anticipated. A new trailer accompanied the announcement.

The August 28, 2025 launch date, which had leaked previously via the PlayStation Store alongside a trailer, received official confirmation during the State of Play broadcast.

An intriguing Ape Escape collaboration was also hinted at, with a concluding "And More" message suggesting additional crossovers are in the works. This first crossover seems to reference the original Metal Gear Solid 3's monkey minigame, where Snake used stun grenades and his "Monkey Shaker" to subdue the primates.

PlayWhile boasting a new first-person viewpoint, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater appears to be a remarkably faithful recreation of its predecessor. IGN's preview described it as "a very shiny HD remaster rather than the elegant remake it could have been," acknowledging its visual appeal but noting its almost excessive adherence to the original.
