Microsoft has unveiled the exciting lineup for Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2, providing gamers with an array of new titles to explore. This announcement, shared on Xbox Wire, precedes the Xbox Developer Direct event scheduled for January 23, where enthusiasts will get a first look at several day one Game Pass releases, including Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and an intriguing mystery game yet to be revealed.

Starting today, January 21, players can dive into Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S, available immediately on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This day one release promises thrilling snowy descents, supporting up to eight players in cross-platform multiplayer. Whether you're racing to the base or navigating slopes with friends, this game offers an exhilarating experience.

On January 22, the Game Pass Standard will expand with Flock on Console, where players can enjoy cooperative flight and creature collection in stunning landscapes. Also on the same day, Gigantic: Rampage Edition joins Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard on Cloud, Console, and PC, delivering a dynamic 5v5 MOBA hero shooter experience.

January 22 continues to be packed with new additions, including Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess and Magical Delicacy on Console for Game Pass Standard, each offering unique gameplay elements from Japanese-inspired strategy to culinary magic. Also launching on January 22 are Tchia for Xbox Series X|S, The Case of the Golden Idol on Console, and Starbound on Cloud and Console, catering to diverse gaming tastes across Game Pass Standard and Ultimate.

As the month progresses, Eternal Strands and Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap will hit Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on January 28, both as day one releases. Eternal Strands offers a fantasy adventure with magical combat, while Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap combines action-packed shooting with trap defense gameplay.

On January 29, Shady Part of Me will be available across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, taking players on an emotional journey through dream-like landscapes. Then, on January 30, Sniper Elite: Resistance launches on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, bringing stealth and tactical combat to a new setting in occupied France.

Finally, on February 4, Far Cry New Dawn joins Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, inviting players to explore a post-apocalyptic world.

While new titles join the service, several games are scheduled to leave Xbox Game Pass on January 31, 2025. These include Anuchard, Broforce Forever, Darkest Dungeon, Death’s Door, Maquette, and Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem across Cloud, Console, and PC.
