Microsoft Unveils Xbox Game Pass April 2025 Wave 1 Titles

Microsoft has recently announced an exciting lineup of Xbox Game Pass titles set to enhance the service in the first half of April 2025. This robust collection includes both first-party and third-party games such as South of Midnight, Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition, and more. The detailed announcement was made via an Xbox Wire post, highlighting a strong start to the month.

Starting April 3, subscribers can dive into Gearbox Software’s Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, available across Cloud, Console, and PC platforms for all tiers. Joining it on the same day are All You Need Is Help (Console), Still Wakes the Deep (Xbox Series X | S), and Wargroove 2 (Console), all accessible through Game Pass Standard. This initial wave promises to keep Xbox enthusiasts engaged throughout the month, with the next batch of titles arriving just five days later on April 8. This includes South of Midnight, playable on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S, and Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition for Console and PC, available to all Game Pass subscribers.

South of Midnight, developed by Compulsion Games, is set in the Deep South and promises a rich folklore adventure. Microsoft describes it as an opportunity to "Explore the mythos and confront mysterious creatures of the Deep South in this modern folktale while learning to weave an ancient power to surmount obstacles and face the pain haunting your hometown." This title is poised to be one of the year's major releases on Xbox, drawing significant interest from Game Pass subscribers.

Following closely, Commandos: Origins will be available on April 9 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers across Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S platforms. Blue Prince will join the lineup on April 10 for the same tiers and platforms. Wrapping up the first wave of releases, Hunt: Showdown 1896 will be added for PC on April 15, exclusively for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.

In addition to the new titles, Xbox Game Pass is refreshing its perks for the first half of April 2025. Notable perks include the Beyond the Void Bundle for The First Descendant, the Sweet Starter Pack for Candy Crush Solitaire on mobile devices, and a special Seventh Serving Emote for Sea of Thieves fans celebrating an anniversary.
