Milly Alcock, the Australian actress behind one of the most iconic characters in the *Game of Thrones* universe, had anything but a smooth start when she first stepped onto the set of *House of the Dragon*. Known for her powerful portrayal of young Rhaenyra Targaryen, Alcock recently opened up about an intense moment early in production that left her questioning her own abilities.

During a recent appearance on *The Tonight Show*, Alcock revealed that just two days into filming, someone in a high-ranking position pulled her aside and informed her that she would be working with an acting coach moving forward. While she declined to name the individual, Alcock admitted she was deeply embarrassed by the experience.

She went on to joke about how quickly the situation grounded her. “It just confirmed everything I’ve kind of known to be true—which is that I’m not very good at my job,” she quipped, adding lightheartedly, “You know what I mean! I was like, ‘I can’t do this. This is terrible. This is a big mistake.’”

Despite the rocky beginning, Alcock’s performance earned critical praise and helped solidify her place in the franchise. She portrayed Rhaenyra Targaryen, the daughter and heir of King Viserys I Targaryen, as a series regular in Season 1 and later returned as a guest star in Season 2. Her character's journey is a central pillar of the show, which chronicles the dramatic downfall of House Targaryen. The adult version of Rhaenyra is played by Emma D’Arcy.

Beyond *House of the Dragon*, Alcock is set to take on another legendary role—Kara Zor-El, better known as Supergirl—in the upcoming *Superman* movie slated for release this summer, followed by her starring turn in *Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow* next year.

The hit prequel series premiered in August 2022, more than three years after the original *Game of Thrones* concluded its run. Its success was immediate—earning a Season 2 renewal just days after its debut. By June 2024, the show had already secured a third season, even before Season 2 officially aired. It also took home the Golden Globe for Best Television Series — Drama.

As of now, Season 3 remains officially greenlit, though fans are still waiting for an official release date announcement.
