Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Returns to the Esports World Cup 2025

Following the apparent success of the Esports World Cup 2024, several publishers have announced the return of their top titles for the 2025 edition. Garena's Free Fire was an early confirmation, and now Moonton's Mobile Legends: Bang Bang joins the roster.

The 2024 tournament featured two Mobile Legends: Bang Bang events: the MLBB Mid-Season Cup (MSC) and the MLBB Women's Invitational. Teams from around the globe competed in Riyadh. Selangor Red Giants secured victory in the MSC, while Smart Omega Empress triumphed in the Women's Invitational, ending Team Vitality's impressive 25-game win streak.

A Strong Showing, But Is It Enough?

Most games from the 2024 Esports World Cup appear to be returning. However, it's noticeable that few, if any, of these games are showcasing their premier championships at the event. The inclusion of MLBB's mid-season cup, for instance, might suggest the Esports World Cup is considered a secondary event rather than the main focus. This is a double-edged sword. It avoids overshadowing existing leagues, but it could also be perceived as a less significant tournament.

Regardless, fans of these games will undoubtedly welcome their return to this prestigious competition.
