Monster Hunter Wilds Update 1 Launches Early April, Introduces Endgame Hub

Capcom has unveiled the first major patch for Monster Hunter Wilds, titled Title Update 1, scheduled for release in early April. This announcement comes on the heels of the game's massive launch, and Capcom has shared further details on their Steam post. The company emphasized that the timing of the patch, just over a month after the game's release, is intended to "give hunters enough time to prepare for the new content, and challenges, that await them."

Title Update 1 promises to ramp up the difficulty, introducing a monster that surpasses the strength of Tempered creatures. "Prepare your gear, and resolve, hunters!" Capcom exclaimed, signaling the arrival of a formidable new challenge. In addition to this tough new adversary, the update will enhance the endgame experience by adding a dedicated social space. "A new place to meet, communicate, have meals together and more with other hunters will be added to Monster Hunter Wilds in TU1!" Capcom stated. This new area will be accessible to players who have completed the main story, encouraging them to continue their journey in the game.

The community's response to the addition of this endgame social hub has been varied. While some players are excited about the new feature, others question its absence at the game's launch. This new space bears resemblance to the Gathering Hubs from previous Monster Hunter titles, yet Capcom has opted for a different designation. The lack of a true social hub in Monster Hunter Wilds has been a noted gap, and it's hoped that this new area will effectively fill that void. Capcom has shared a glimpse of this upcoming feature through a series of images:

In response to 'mixed' user reviews on Steam, Capcom has also released a troubleshooting guide for Monster Hunter Wilds. For players looking to dive deeper into the game, resources such as guides on what the game doesn't explicitly explain, a comprehensive overview of all 14 weapon types, a detailed walkthrough, a multiplayer guide, and instructions on transferring your beta character are available. IGN's review of Monster Hunter Wilds awarded it an 8/10, praising the game for refining the series' mechanics and offering engaging combat, while noting a lack of significant challenge.
