The rumor mill is churning at full speed with whispers that Oscar Isaac might be reprising his role as Moon Knight in the upcoming blockbuster, Avengers: Doomsday. This speculation gained traction following a surprising announcement from Star Wars Celebration's official social media that Isaac would miss the event in Japan due to a shift in his production schedule. Initially, fans were buzzing about a potential return as Poe Dameron in the Star Wars universe, especially after Daisy Ridley's announcement of her involvement in a new Star Wars film at the 2023 celebration. However, the plot thickened when it was revealed that Avengers: Doomsday is currently in production in London, leading enthusiasts to connect the dots and speculate about Moon Knight's inclusion in the Marvel epic.

Social media erupted with comments like:

While the theory remains unconfirmed, Marvel's penchant for surprises keeps the door open. Notably, Isaac was not part of the initial cast reveal for Doomsday. Yet, Marvel Studios producer Kevin Feige hinted at more cast members during a CinemaCon video call, stating, "We revealed many, not all." This cryptic message has fueled the hopes of fans dreaming of seeing Moon Knight in action alongside other heroes.

Isaac previously starred in a six-episode season of Moon Knight in 2022, but no sequel has been officially announced. Avengers: Doomsday is slated for release on May 1, 2026, promising a star-studded lineup as showcased in the epic livestream.

In other MCU news, fans are also buzzing about Robert Downey Jr.'s recent Doctor Doom-themed birthday party invitation, adding yet another layer of intrigue to the unfolding Marvel saga.

Last month's Avengers: Doomsday cast reveal highlighted a significant presence of veteran X-Men actors, including Kelsey Grammer, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, and James Marsden. Grammer, who played Beast in the Fox X-Men franchise, made his MCU debut in The Marvels' post-credits scene. Stewart portrayed Charles Xavier/Professor X in the X-Men films and appeared briefly in the MCU in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as part of the Illuminati. McKellen, famous for his role as Magneto, has yet to appear in the MCU, as have Cumming (Nightcrawler), Romijn (Mystique), and Marsden (Cyclops). The inclusion of these actors raises the intriguing question: Is Avengers: Doomsday secretly an Avengers vs. X-Men movie?
