Persona 5: The Phantom X Releasing Globally
First Announcement From Western Account
The highly anticipated Persona 5: The Phantom X (P5X) is expanding its reach with a dedicated social media account for its upcoming English version. A significant announcement is scheduled for a livestream on May 15 at 7:00 AM PT, which will be broadcast on Atlus' official western YouTube channel. This event promises to unveil the much-awaited release date for the English version.
Check out the timetable below to see when the stream will start in your region:

The livestream will be graced by special guests from the game’s cast, including Kaede Hondo, the voice of Motoha Arai, and Chika Anzai, the voice of Yui. They will be joined by P5X Chief Producer Yohsuke Uda and Development Director Yusuke Nitta from ATLUS, as well as Development Producer Jun Matsunaga and Live Ops Director Yuta Sakai from SEGA.
P5X was initially released in selected regions in April 2024. There's speculation that the Western release will be announced during the upcoming stream, especially since the developers hinted at English localization plans during the game's first anniversary livestream. The official account teased that while the release date for Japan is guaranteed to be announced, there might be news about the Western release as well. "Be sure to tune in and find out!" they stated.
Japanese Release Coming Soon

In addition to the English version, the livestream will also provide more details about P5X's Japanese (JP) release. During the game's first anniversary celebration, Atlus announced that P5X will launch in Japan in Summer 2025, and pre-registrations are currently open on the game's JP website.
Furthermore, Sega Sammy Holdings, a Japanese global holding company and conglomerate, mentioned in their Fiscal Year 2025 Results Presentation on May 12 that P5X is part of their roll-out schedule, slated for release "In or after FY2026/3" (from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026), targeting this summer.
With the Japanese release on the horizon, a global launch of P5X seems imminent. To stay updated with the latest news on Persona 5: The Phantom X, keep an eye on our articles below!
