Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Event Is a Throwback to Classic Nintendo Consoles

Get ready for a blast from the past as Pikmin Bloom celebrates its 3.5th anniversary next month! Niantic is set to reintroduce some nostalgic gadgets in the game, kicking off a new event on May 1st, 2025. This update is a delightful throwback to the golden days of Nintendo, and you won't want to miss it!

The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!

Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has delighted us with a variety of fun decor, including Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. For its 3.5th anniversary, the game is bringing back the iconic Nintendo game consoles from the 80s and 90s, adding a touch of nostalgia for long-time fans.

Adding to the excitement, a new Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin will be introduced. This is a tribute to Nintendo’s early days when they were known for manufacturing playing cards before venturing into video games. The design of these cards draws inspiration from Nintendo’s classic playing card decks.

The event will run from May 1st until May 31st, 2025, giving you an entire month to engage in the missions and collect these unique new Pikmin. Each time you complete an Event Challenge mission, you'll receive random rewards such as Game Button Cells, seedlings that can grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.

During the event, keep an eye out for Brilliant Mushrooms. Smashing these will reward you with Mystery Boxes containing items like Game Button Cells, flower petals, and more. The Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 or Playing Card Decor Pikmin are particularly effective at taking down these mushrooms.

Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May

The month of May will see the blooming of beautiful flowers such as carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and special anniversary roses. You can encourage these blooms by planting red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them.

Additionally, a nectar update will be implemented, ensuring that fruit from mushrooms in May will provide nectar for regular flowers as well as the special blooms like carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.

There's plenty more to look forward to, including Community Day events. Don't miss out on the festivities—download Pikmin Bloom from the Google Play Store and get ready for the 3.5th anniversary celebration!
