Pikmin Bloom Adds Mid-Autumn Mooncake Decor

Pikmin Bloom welcomes the Mid-Autumn Festival by introducing new Mooncake Decor Pikmin. For those unfamiliar, the Mid-Autumn Festival ranks among the most important seasonal holidays in Asia. It's celebrated with lantern displays, family reunions, and the traditional sharing of mooncakes.

When do the Mooncake Decor appear in Pikmin Bloom?

The new Mooncake Decor Pikmin will be available from September 1st, 2025, through September 30th, 2025. They will be joined by the return of the Mahjong Tile Decor Pikmin during this period.

You can acquire Mooncake Decor Pikmin by completing Event Challenge missions. Successfully finishing these missions rewards you with items such as Moonlit Lanterns, various flower petals, and seedlings that develop into Mooncake Pikmin.

Pikmin Bloom features seven distinct types of Mooncake Pikmin. Finishing event challenges also increases your chances of triggering a Big Flower bloom, which always yields a Gold Seedling.

Meanwhile, the Mahjong Tile Pikmin return with a fresh addition. Pikmin grown from Mahjong Tile Seedlings can now display any of 14 different Mahjong tiles. This includes the debut of seven new bamboo suit tiles, numbered two through eight.

Be aware that not all Mahjong Pikmin from previous events will be obtainable, so your collection might have a few gaps. To get these seedlings, complete event missions that require gathering Moonlit Lanterns.

Clearing the lantern missions can unlock special costumes for your Mii

As is typical for these events, Magnificent Mushrooms will be a central feature. Defeating them grants you Mystery Boxes filled with lanterns, Mahjong Pikmin seedlings, and other rewards.

Both Mooncake and Mahjong Pikmin have a significant strength advantage when battling these mushrooms. The challenge intensifies on weekends with the emergence of Giant Magnificent Mushrooms.

Giant Magnificent Mushrooms will appear on the following dates: September 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th, 20th, 21st, 27th, and 28th. To assist you in these battles, the Mushroom Battle Bullhorn can be used up to three times per day on these specific weekends.
