The Pokémon TCG Pocket Lapras EX Drop Event: A Comprehensive Guide

Pokémon TCG Pocket constantly expands its card roster. This guide covers the Lapras EX drop event, detailing how to participate and maximize your rewards.

Event Duration:

The Lapras EX event runs from November 5th to November 18th, 12:59 AM Eastern Time. Players can battle for new card variants and the coveted Lapras EX. Additional rewards include Pack Hourglasses for opening more booster packs.

Event Participation:

Update: Ensure your Pokémon TCG Pocket app is updated.
Battles Tab: Navigate to the Battles tab and select Solo.
Event Selection: Choose the "Lapras EX Drop Event" category.

Four AI battles await, each using a different Lapras EX deck. First-clear rewards are granted for each battle, with additional chance rewards available through repeated playthroughs.

Decks and Challenges:

The event features four battles with varying difficulty and deck compositions. Rewards include Event Hourglasses (replenishing event stamina) and Wonder Hourglasses (for general stamina).

Note: Promo Packs are chance rewards in all battles, guaranteed only in the Expert battle. All decks are Water-type, making Lightning-type decks advantageous.

Event Hourglass Usage:

Event stamina, consumed per battle, refreshes every 12 hours (max 5). Event Hourglasses replenish this stamina.

Recommended Deck:

A Pikachu EX deck is highly effective due to Lightning-type attacks dealing bonus damage to Water-type Pokémon. Consider using Helioptile/Heliolisk or Magnemite/Magneton lines for less rare card challenges.

Promo Pack Rewards:

Promo Packs contain one card each: Mankey, Pikachu, Clefairy, Butterfree, and Lapras EX (a new card variant). Lapras EX has 140 HP, the attack "Bubble Drain" (80 damage, 20 HP heal), and a retreat cost of 3.
