Pokemon TCG Pocket Unveils Shining Revelry, Hints at Ranked Matches

The latest expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket has brought an exciting addition to the game: shiny variants. With over 110 new cards introduced, the expansion titled "Shining Revelry" is indeed a dazzling affair, featuring new additions from the Paldea region that are sure to captivate collectors and players alike. As soon as the update went live, I couldn't resist spending some of my hard-earned Pack Hourglasses to open ten packs. My excitement paid off when I pulled a Charizard EX, although the rest of the haul was less impressive. However, finding a Pokémon Center Lady card in the mix offered some comfort. Her ability to heal Special Conditions is a valuable asset, especially when facing the challenge of a debilitating Burn.

In line with previous updates, the latest expansion also introduces an Emblem event, allowing players to earn new badges to show off to their friends. But the real excitement comes with the introduction of Ranked Matches. These matches will pit you against other Trainers as you strive to climb from Beginner to Master Ball Rank. Your progress will be tracked with points, and at the end of the season—lasting approximately one month—you'll be awarded an emblem. It's time to dust off those dueling skills and start crafting competitive decks.
