Pokémon Go Unveils Holiday Extravaganza Pt. 2 Details

• Holiday part two will take place from December 22nd to 27th

The party has almost begun in Pokémon Go as Niantic will release the first part of their Holiday Event on December 17th. While there are still a few days for this to go live, we already know what to expect in the second part, which will take place between December 22nd and 27th. It features even more bonuses, encounters, and special challenges to enjoy.

In the Holiday Part Two event in Pokémon Go, you can take advantage of double the XP for catching Pokémon, while Raid Battles will offer 50% more XP than usual. Alongside the debuting Dedenne, Wooloo and Dubwool wearing holiday attire will also be featured for the first time. And of course, if you're lucky enough you may get your hands on a shiny one too.

Between December 25th and January 5th, Daily Adventure Incense will last for twice as long, making it a great time to catch Pokémon. Venture out in the wild and you can find Pokémon like Alolan Rattata, Murkrow, Blitzle, Tynamo, Absol, and more. 

As for the raids, one-star ones will feature Litwick and Cetoddle, while Snorlax and Banette will be part of three-star battles. If you're looking for a tougher challenge, then five-star raids will be headlined by Giratina, while Mega Latios and Abomasnow will be part of Mega Raids.

If you're more quest-oriented, then Field Research Tasks offer encounters with event-themed Pokémon while a paid Timed Research for $5 offers more goodies like a Glacial Lure Module, two Incense, a Wooloo Jacket, and more encounters. Finally, a catch- and raid-focused Collection Challenges will reward everyone with Stardust, Great Balls, and Ultra Balls.
