Rainbow Six Siege X: what was presented in Atlanta

Rainbow Six Siege, now celebrating its tenth year, is embarking on an exciting new journey with the introduction of Siege X. Announced during today's presentation by Ubisoft, Siege X aims to redefine the gameplay experience, much like CS2 did for CS:GO. Set to launch on June 10, Siege X will transition the game to a free-to-play model, inviting more players to dive into its tactical world.
Key Changes in Siege X:
New Mode: Dual Front – This innovative 6v6 match format combines the thrill of attack and defense operators. The objective is to capture enemy zones and plant sabotage devices across a map divided into multiple areas: three per team and one expansive neutral zone. With a respawn feature kicking in 30 seconds after death, the gameplay remains intense and engaging.
Advanced Rappel System – A game-changer for mobility, players can now utilize ropes for both vertical and horizontal movement, offering new strategic possibilities.
Increased Environmental Destruction – The Siege X trailer highlighted enhanced destructible elements, including explosive fire extinguishers and gas pipes, adding a new layer of tactical depth to the environment.
Reworks for Five Popular Maps – These fan-favorite maps are set to receive major updates, refreshing the game's landscapes and gameplay dynamics.
Graphical & Audio Enhancements – Ubisoft is committed to a significant overhaul of the game's visuals and sound, promising a richer, more immersive experience.
Improved Anti-Cheat & Toxicity Measures – With a focus on fair play and community health, Ubisoft is enhancing the anti-cheat system and implementing new measures to combat toxic behavior.
In addition to these updates, Ubisoft has announced a closed beta for Siege X, available to players who tune into Siege streams over the next seven days. This provides a unique opportunity for the community to get an early taste of what Siege X has to offer.
