Roland-Garros eSeries 2025 Revamps Format for Tennis Clash

After last year's thrilling competition, the Roland-Garros eSeries returns in 2025. Gamers worldwide will compete on the virtual clay courts of Tennis Clash. This year's event introduces a team-based system, legendary tennis captains, and a prize pool of €5,000 up for grabs.

Renault and Mastercard return as primary sponsors. Players can now outfit their characters with official Roland-Garros 2025 apparel and utilize the exclusive Renault 5 Roland-Garros string.

When Does It Start?

The Roland-Garros eSeries begins in March with open qualifiers, where players will compete for a place in the finals. Three qualifying rounds are scheduled from March 6-11, March 20-25, and April 3-8, determining the top competitors.

The leading female players from the first two qualifiers will secure their spots alongside the overall winners. The main event takes place on May 24th at the Roland-Garros Tenniseum Auditorium, where finalists will compete before a live audience. The entire competition will be streamed on Twitch.

What’s New This Year?

For 2025, the Roland-Garros eSeries shifts to a team format. Finalists will join teams led by prominent figures in French tennis. One confirmed captain is Gilles Simon, former world No. 6 and Davis Cup champion.

Simon has served as an eSeries commentator since 2023 and competed in last year's Top 8. This year, he will coach one team. His opposing captain remains unannounced, though organizers hint it is a Grand Slam champion.

Once teams are formed, the competition begins. The winning team from the initial phase advances to the double-elimination bracket from the winner's side, while the losing team starts from the loser's bracket.
